Curriculum Overview

The IU Medical Dosimetry Graduate Certificate Program will cover the following components of training:

  • Virtual Simulation
  • Contouring according to standard published atlases
  • 3D treatment planning, photons and electrons
  • IMRT treatment planning
  • SBRT treatment planning
  • VMAT treatment planning
  • Brachytherapy planning
  • Treatment planning challenges
  • Research
  • Physics related quality assurance in radiation therapy

The Medical Dosimetry student will have the opportunity to perform clinical training at the following sites:

  • Indiana University Health Simon Cancer Center (Indianapolis, IN)
  • Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital
  • Indiana University Health Central Indiana Cancer Centers (Indianapolis, IN)
  • Indiana University Health Bloomington Cancder Centers (Bloomington, IN)
